A Taste of Empire
Written & Performed by Jovanni Sy
Iron Chef meets Guns, Germs, and Steel.
While cooking a traditional Filipino dish in real time, writer/performer Jovanni Sy weaves stories of conquest, colonialism and consumption through the construction (and deconstruction) of the Rellenong Bangus.
Everything we eat tells a story.
